In the Eastern European country of Sokovia, The-Avengers- Tony Stark / Iron Man, Steve Rogers / Captain America, Thor, Bruce Banner / Hulk, Natasha Romanoff / Black widow, and Clint Barton/ Hawkeye decide to raid a Hydra Post under the command of Baron Wolfgang von Strucker who has been experimenting on humans using the Scepter previously wielded by Loki.

In the fight, the encounter two of Struker’s experiments the Maximoff twins Pietro who has superhuman speed and Wanda who has telekinetic abilities and can manipulate mind and project energy beams. Captain captures Strucker while Tony Stark retrieves the sceptre even after Wanda implants fear-filled vision of bleak possible future in his mind.

Back at the headquarters, Avengers Towers Tony Stark and Banner discover an Artificial Intelligence locked within the Sceptre’s gen and decide to secretly use it complete Stark’s Ultron Global Defence Program. After many failed attempts, they leave for the victory party to celebrate the recapture of the Sceptre unknowing that the program has come to life.

The unexpectedly created Ultron awakens believing that he must destroy humanity to save the earth and overrides Stark’s AI JARVIS. In the guise of Stark’s Iron Legion Robot Drones, Ultron attacks The avengers as they enjoy in their party. Escaping the Sceptre uses the resources in the Sokovia base to upgrade his incomplete body and thereby build an army of robot drones. After killing Strucker, he then meets and befriends the maximoff twins who found Tony Stark responsible for their parents ‘ death due to the weapon l manufactured by his company.

The trio you go to the base of the arms dealer Ulysses Klaue in an African shipyard to obtain the Wakandan Vibranium. The avengers pursue them but Wanda subdues all of them except Stark and Barton with haunting visions causing Banner to evolve as Hulk and rampage through a nearby City until Tony Stark with his Iron Man suits top him with his Hulkbuster Armour. A worldwide backlash over the destruction and fears incited by the hallucinations created by Wanda sends the team to hiding in Barton’s safehouse where they meet his wife and children.

Seeing no answers to be found, Thor departs to consult with his friend Dr. Erik Selvig on the meaning of the apocalyptic vision he saw in his hallucination while Black Widow and Bruce Banner discuss the possibility of fleeing together after realizing their mutual attraction. However, Nick Fury arrives and encourages them to fight Ultron.

In Seoul Ultron forces The Avengers’ friend Dr. Helen Cho to use her synthetic tissue technology together with Vibranium and the Sceptre’s gen to perfect a new body for him. As Ultron uploads himself into his new synthetic body, Wanda is then able to read his mind and discovers his plan to destroy humanity. Horrified, the twins turn on Ultron and join forces with avengers to distract him while Romanoff and Barton retrieve the synthetic body.

The Avengers fight amongst themselves when Tony Stark secretly uploads JARVIS who is still operational after hiding from Ultron deep inside the internet into its own synthetic body. Thor returns to help activate the body explaining that the gem on its head is one of the rare infinity stones.

The Vision proves that he is a trustworthy alibi effortlessly lifting Thor’s hammer the Mjolnir. The maximoff twins along with the avengers move back to score via where Ultron has used all the remaining vibranium to create a machine to lift a large part of the capital city skyward, intending to crash it down into the ground and cause global extension.

The Avengers face off against Ultron’s army of drones while Nick Fury arrives in helicarrier with Maria Hill, the War Machine and other SHIELD agents to vacate the civilians. While The avengers decide to help in the evacuation, Wanda guards the machine to prevent being activated. However, Ultron steals The Avengers Quinjet and goes on a run in a desperate attempt to stop the evacuation.

One of the twins Pietro is killed when he shields Barton from Ultron’s gunfire. The Hulk leaves into the Quinjet and forcibly evicts Ultron leaving him vulnerable to a vengeful Wanda who abandons her post to destroy Ultron’s primary body. This allows the drones to activate the machine but Stark and Thor overload the machine and destroy the whole landmass with Vision rescuing Wanda. The Hulk not wanting to endanger Romanoff by being with her, departs in the Quinjet while The Vision confronts Ultron and destroys its last remaining body.

Later the Avengers have established a new base, Barton returns to his family, Thor returns to Asgard and Stark also leave the Team. Rogers and Romanoff reunite to train James Rhodes, The Vision, Falcon, and Wanda.
