The entire plot of Metti Oli is about the daily happenings of Chidambaram’s five daughters. The father is very patient and always remains calm in whatever circumstances, be it happy or sad. He often gets troubled by Rajam quoting the activities of Saroja, his elder daughter.
Chidambaram is a respected land broker. He was a widower and raised his five daughters alone. Chidambaram has taken extra care in raising up their girls as disciplined daughters who are very innocent and caring.
During the last episodes of the serial, Chidambaram dies in a road accident when he was walking on the road, feeling depressed. However, the serial finally ends happily, as the family reunites.

John Thurloe of Great Milton in Oxfordshire and of Lincoln's Inn, was a secretary to the council of state in ProtectorateEngland and spymaster for Oliver Cromwell. Thurloe was baptised on 12 June, his father was Rev. Thomas Rector of Abbess Roding, he trained as a lawyer in Lincoln's Inn. He was first in the service of Oliver St John, solicitor–general to King Charles I and Lord Chief Justice of the Common Pleas. In January 1645, became a secretary to the parliamentary commissioners at the Treaty of Uxbridge. In 1647 Thurloe was admitted to Lincoln's Inn as a member, he remained on the sidelines during the English Civil War but after the accession of Oliver Cromwell, became part of his government. In March 1651, Thurloe accompanied Oliver St John as his secretary on his embassy to the United Provinces to propose a union between the Commonwealth and the Dutch. In 1652 he was named a secretary for state. In 1653 he became head of intelligence and developed a widespread network of spies in England and on the continent.

In chemistry, the term transition metal has three possible meanings: The IUPAC definition defines a transition metal as 'an element whose atom has a filled d sub-shell, or which can give rise to cations with an incomplete d sub-shell'. Many scientists describe a 'transition metal' as any element in the d-block of the periodic table, which includes groups 3 to 12 on the periodic table. In actual practice, the f-block lanthanide and actinide series are considered transition metals and are called 'inner transition metals'. Cotton and Wilkinson expand the brief IUPAC definition by specifying; as well as the elements of groups 4 to 11, they add scandium and yttrium in group 3, which have a filled d subshell in the metallic state. Lanthanum and actinium in group 3 are, classified as lanthanides and actinides respectively. English chemist Charles Bury first used the word transition in this context in 1921, when he referred to a transition series of elements during the change of an inner layer of electrons from a stable group of 8 to one of 18, or from 18 to 32.
These elements are now known as the d-block. In the d-block the atoms of the elements have between ten d electrons; the elements of groups 4–11 are recognized as transition metals, justified by their typical chemistry, i.e. a large range of complex ions in various oxidation states, colored complexes, catalytic properties either as the element or as ions. Sc and Y in group 3 are generally recognized as transition metals. However, the elements La–Lu and Ac–Lr and group 12 attract different definitions from different authors. Many chemistry textbooks and printed periodic tables classify La and Ac as group 3 elements and transition metals, since their atomic ground-state configurations are s2d1 like Sc and Y; the elements Ce–Lu are considered as the 'lanthanide' series and Th–Lr as the 'actinide' series. The two series together are classified as f-block elements, or as 'inner transition elements'; some inorganic chemistry textbooks include Ac with the actinides. This classification is based on similarities in chemical behaviour and defines 15 elements in each of the two series though they correspond to the filling of an f subshell, which can only contain 14 electrons.
A third classification defines the f-block elements as La–Yb and Ac–No, while placing Lu and Lr in group 3. This is based on the Aufbau principle for filling electronsubshells, in which 4f is filled before 5d, so that the f subshell is full at Yb, while Lu has an s2f14d1 configuration; however La and Ac are exceptions to the Aufbau principle with electron configuration s2d1, so it is not clear from atomic electron configurations whether La or Lu should be considered as transition metals. Zinc and mercury are excluded from the transition metals, as they have the electronic configuration d10s2, with no incomplete d shell. In the oxidation state +2 the ions have the electronic configuration …d10. Although these elements can exist in other oxidation states, including the +1 oxidation state, as in the diatomic ion Hg2+2, they still have a complete d shell in these oxidation states; the group 12 elements Zn, Cd and Hg may therefore, under certain criteria, be classed as post-transition metals in this case. Gas lift or bubble pumps use the artificial lift technique of raising a fluid such as water or oil by introducing bubbles of compressed air, water vapor or other vaporous bubbles into the outlet tube. This has the effect of reducing the hydrostatic pressure in the outlet tube vs. the hydrostatic pressure at the inlet side of the tube. In the petroleum industry, the process involves injecting gas through the tubing-casing annulus. Injected gas aerates the fluid to reduce its density. Gas may be injected continuously or intermittently, depending on the producing characteristics of the well and the arrangement of the gas-lift equipment.
The amount of gas to be injected to maximize oil production varies based on well conditions and geometries. Too much or too little injected gas will result in less than maximum production; the optimal amount of injected gas is determined by well tests, where the rate of injection is varied and liquid production is measured. Although the gas is recovered from the oil at a separation stage, the process requires energy to drive a compressor to raise the pressure of the gas to a level where it can be re-injected; the gas-lift mandrel is a device installed in the tubing string of a gas-lift well onto which or into which a gas-lift valve is fitted. There are two common types of mandrels. In a conventional gas-lift mandrel, a gas-lift valve is installed as the tubing is placed in the well. Thus, to replace or repair the valve, the tubing string must be pulled. In the side-pocket mandrel, the valve is installed and removed by wireline while the mandrel is still in the well, eliminating the need to pull the tubing to repair or replace the valve.
A gas-lift valve is a device installed on a gas-lift mandrel, which in turn is put on the production tubing of a gas-lift well.
